And the teenager will be hoping that he can nail down a spot in the whittled down 26-man Three Lions team that will fly out in the coming weeks.
Mainoo only put pen to paper on a contract extension back in February 2023 with the deal said to run until 2027 with an option for a one-year extension.
The youngster is said to be on around £20,000 per week on his current terms with a clause in his contract triggering the pay rise after he made 10 senior appearances.
Mainoo made 24 league appearances in total for United this season, scoring three goals and registering one assist in the process.
It’s claimed that new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made it one of his priorities to ensure Mainoo’s long-term future lies at Old Trafford.
