JUST IN: LMC Slams Kano Pillars With N9Million Fine And More Punishments For Breaching League Rules
The League Management Company has fined Kano Pillars after the club’s fans destroyed properties of the visiting Katsina United team yesterday in their league match encounter.
This isn’t the first time the North-based club has been fined as their fans are well known for their destructive nature when the game doesn’t go their way.
The fans showed their anger against the referee’s decision to halt the game yesterday against Katsina United as the scoreline was still goalless.
LMC has announced that the club will be duly punished and must suffer for the sins their fans committed in Matchday 23 NPFL fixture against Katsina United.
The club has been slammed with N9Million fine and the Sanni Abacha Stadium will no longer be their home ground as they have now been banished to MKO Stadium Abuja for their home games.
Three points have also been deducted from their total points for the season and the Inconclusive game will be continued in Abuja.
The LMC also stated that Kano Pillars must repair and replace damaged properties of the opposing team Katsina United including their team bus.
With these sanctions from the League Management Company, it is hoped that other clubs will learn from what happened in Kano yesterday and educate their fans on how to be well behaved.
