Jude Bellingham’s England masterclass in Scotland helps punter win £17,000 from £5 bet
JUDE BELLINGHAM was the standout yet again in England’s win over Scotland in midweek.
And he took centre stage in one punter’s bet, with his contribution playing a big part in a £17,000 win!
Bellingham’s England show in Scotland helps punter win £17k from £5 bet
The punt included six outcomes within the Hampden clash, with a fiver staked on the in-play selections.
Bellingham – awarded man of the match – was picked to score anytime and carry his sensational Real Madrid form into the England side.
And that’s what he did, notching after an absolute horrow show from Scotland skipper Andy Robertson on 35 minutes.
Funnily enough, Bellingham was also backed to pick up a booking, which he did seven minutes later after a bit of pushing and shoving with Jack Hendry.
It followed a poor swipe from Kalvin Phillips on Che Adams in which he was shown a yellow card for – which was another selection on the bet slip.
Kieran Tierney was the third pick to be carded during the contest and the Real Sociedad loanee was booked in the second half for dragging back Arsenal team-mate Bukayo Saka.
Winning bet
The final two selections needed an England win and then both teams to score.
England were cruising after a 2-0 half time lead, before Harry Maguire’s introduction saw him notch another OG and land the both teams to score element.
Harry Kane’s goal moments later wrapped up the win for England and allowed the punter to cash out for a big win.
The 5200/1 bet was cashed out for £17,000 with William Hill, leading to a bumper pay day for just the £5 bet.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “Betting in-play is always a tricky task and this punter has done well to get his selections in before they happened, in a bet which would have seen them hoping for the crunching tackles to continue to fly in.
“After Kieran Tierney secured the fifth of six selections, this punter could not bear the tension of a one-goal margin and cashed out the 5200/1 boosted bet for a cool total of over £17k, an impressive payout from just a £5 in-play outlay.”
