However, on the sidelines, Mourinho’s antics got him into trouble as Uefa charged him for a verbal assault on ref Anthony Taylor.

He then continued his rant in the carpark after the match as he labelled the British official as a “f*****g disgrace”.

And his actions have left him in the bad books of club legend Cassano.

The retired Italian striker and Mourinho, 60, have clashed in the past, with the manager claiming Cassano is only “remembered for his jacket” that he wore at his unveiling at Real Madrid.

Whereas the former Los Blanco claimed that Mourinho “doesn’t give a s***” about football“.

Cassano, 40, has now slammed Mourinho for his time at Roma and insisted that he “never returns” to Italy.

He said on Christian Vieri’s BoboTv Twitch channel: “The referee got some things wrong but in the same way that players can miss goals.

“I think Taylor struggled with the task at hand. Everything that happened afterwards began with Mourinho, he went to the carpark to protest and confront the referee.

“We’ve all seen the videos and that fed into Roma fans harassing Taylor and his family the next day at Budapest airport.

“He said he is going on vacation, hopefully he won’t return to Italy anymore, he’s a scumbag.

“In the past two years we’ve only seen fights and he has helped ruin the image of AS Roma and recent episodes have not served the club well.

“I hope for my people, that Mourinho heads to Portugal and never returns to train in Italy.”
