The wrestler and actor will keep that run going when he faces Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on December 30.

Cena announced the shock news in a video at the end of Friday’s SmackDown.

Cena said: “I haven’t had a match in 2022 and we’re running out of chances.”

He revealed that Owens had sent him a text to pair-up and fight Reings and Zayn after the man nicknamed KO had been called-out by the current Undisputed Universal Champion.

During SmackDown, Reings called chief Adam Pearce to his locker room to propose a bout featuring him and Zayn as partners.

They wanted to come up against Owens and a team-mate of his choice.

Pearce agreed to the match as The Bloodline group look to settle their feud with Owens.

It will be the first time Cena is back in action since September 2021.

Last time he teamed-up with The Mysterios to beat Roman Reigns & The Usos at Madison Square Garden.

Cena is a WWE legend and joint-record 16-time world champion.

He has also won the Championship a record 13 times and Royal Rumble twice.
