The Castleford Tigers loose forward, 33, was filmed with a pal’s missus down the side of a Greggs alley.

Head coach Lee Radford has today said he could play in Sunday’s game against Hull FC.

It comes after he laughed off the seedy scandal and joked: “I’m sure he’ll have a blast.”

A final squad of 17 men is expected be made closer to the game.

It is currently unclear whether Westerman will make an appearance on the field.

A video went viral on Sunday which saw club bosses issue Westerman with a fine.

He was also ordered to carry out community service to educate young people on the effects of alcohol.

In a statement issued through the club, the disgraced player said: “Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly apologise to my family and friends for my actions.

“I’d also like to apologise to the supporters, sponsors, staff, and directors of Castleford Tigers as well as my teammates.

“I’d like to extend this apology to the game of rugby league, and I have realised that I need to work on my decision-making around alcohol.”

His wife, Lauren, 33, booted him out of the family home in the West Yorkshire town.

She wrote on Twitter: “Can I make this VERY clear that this is NOT me!!!!!! We have three children, one of whom is almost 15, and she doesn’t need to see things like this all over social media!”

The mum-of-three told friends she will never reunite with the rugby star.
