And Lingard, 29, opened his account for the East Midlands outfit after 12 goalless games so far this season.

The ex-Manchester United man headed in Forest‘s second goal in the 57th minute and then proceeded to do the “Griddy”.

Speaking on social media after the game, he said: “Bout time top team performance tonight, thank you to the fans for your support #jlingz #griddy.”

And the fans were loving the celebration as they reacted to the dance online.

Back in February, Chelsea star Christian Pulisic performed the move during the Blues’ 2-0 win over Lille in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Lingard has made a slow start to life at Forest.

And his sub-par performances have seen him slip away from contention for England’s World Cup squad.

The former Man Utd man has 32 caps for his country and went to the 2018 World Cup.

He then narrowly missed out on a spot in the Euros squad and has made just three national team appearances since then.
