Gawlas held his nerve in a thrilling encounter to reach a first televised semi-final of his career in Minehead.

He squandered SIX match darts in a nervy final leg before finally pinning D4 with his seventh match dart.

And Gawlas couldn’t quite contain himself after securing a famous win.

The young darts star grabbed his bottle of water and tipped it all over himself in a bizarre celebration.

Fans on social media were left in hysterics after watching Gawlas shower himself on stage.

One wrote on Twitter in response to the PDC’s video: “You have to love this guy.”

Another said: “Well played Adam Gawlas , fantastic win for him, the celebration afterwards was almost better than his darts lol.”

And a third added: “WOW! What a win for Adam Gawlas and what a celebration.”

It’s not the first time Gawlas has celebrated by chucking water over himself.

He did the exact same thing following victory over Richie Burnett at the PDC World Championships back in December.

And Gawlas could be doing it again later on Sunday, with only Andrew Gilding standing between him and a place in the UK Open final.

The other semi-final sees Michael van Gerwen take on Dimitri Van den Bergh.
