ITV Racing host forced to apologise after pundit’s awkward X-rated blunder on live TV

AN awkward blunder from an ITV Racing pundit forced host Ed Chamberlain to apologise on live TV.

Legendary racing journalist and broadcaster Brough Scott was appearing on ITV before today’s races at Newmarket.

However, as the 81-year-old spoke about the races he ended up making a gaffe as he was unable to come up with a better word.

Scott said: “Just talking to Jeff Smith… he said this is as strong as he remembers.

“It’s a really, really fascinating race this.”

He then spoke about another expert’s analysis of the race.

Scott then said: “I’ve known him for a long time, he’s not a bulls***ter, pardon my French.”

Host Chamberlain then swiftly issued an apology while also nodding to the Scott’s own broadcast career.

He said: “As you used to have to do, I apologise for my colleague’s language a moment ago.

“He is very sorry as well I’m sure.”

Reacting online, one fan said: “Did Brough Scott just say “bulls***ter”?

A second added: “Ed Chamberlain s*** himself cause he didn’t want to pull up a racing legend such as Brough Scott.”
