UFC octagon girl Red Dela Cruz helps light up fight nights – when she is not working a 9-5 in the office.

Dela Cruz joined the MMA powerhouse promotion in 2015 after winning the UFC Octagon Girl Search in Asia.

She has travelled all around the world with the UFC, including London this past weekend and was named Ring Girl of the Year at the inaugural Asia MMA Awards in Hong Kong in September.

But when Dela Cruz’s is back home in Sydney, she enjoys her office job for a data company.

She told Daily Mail Australia: “When I am working I stay quiet, no make-up, work hard.

“I get to live these two very different lives and I know how lucky I am.

“Back home in Sydney I can live really quiet, normal. Then with the UFC it’s bright lights and very exciting.

“Growing up in the Philippines my mum told me she had dreamed of being a model or a beauty queen.

“Now, I am living that dream. I followed this path for myself but also to make her proud.

“Now, when young girls ask me for advice, I tell them dream of the impossible. It might just happen.”

It leaves Dela Cruz’s colleagues in disbelief at her globetrotting career.

She said: “They think it is an awesome job. You get to travel the world, meet new people and big stars as well.”

Dela Cruz grew up in Iba, capital of the Zambales province in the Philippines before leaving to Manila to study a tourism management degree.

She later picked up part-time modelling work and featured in FHM magazine’s lists of the world’s sexiest women.

Dela Cruz moved to Australia two and a half years ago to be with partner Joey Bacic, a Sydney businessman.

And after winning the UFC’s search for a octagon girl to add to their already famous roster, Dela Cruz was afforded the dream gig.

She said: “I was already a huge UFC fan before and of UFC rings girls such as Arianny Celeste, who is such a huge superstar.

“There were just so many applications that I never really thought I was a chance.

“But I made it to the top 20, then the top 10, then the top five.

“My head was spinning but when it went then to a fans vote I won, and here I am. Sometimes I can’t barely believe it but I have such a great life.”
