Iconic Spanish Grand Prix MOVED amid fears for Barcelona track’s future with new F1 race on stunning circuit

FORMULA ONE’S Spanish Grand Prix has been moved to an incredible new street track in Madrid.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has hosted the race for the last 35 years.

But it appears the F1 will reportedly return to the capital from the 2026 season for the first time since 1981.

However, it would mean two races in Spain that year with Barcelona’s track having an agreement in place to host events up until then.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya future after 2026 appears to be uncertain.

Only the United States and Italy host more than one F1 race per season.

Spain’s new street circuit is set to be located near Barajas airport and Real Madrid’s training base Ciudad in the suburb of Valdebebas.

The city’s mayor teased that “some good news” is set to be announced.
