‘I just don’t care’ – Ronnie O’Sullivan hits back at Shaun Murphy after he slammed attitude as ‘extremely irritating’
RONNIE O’SULLIVAN has hit back after he was labelled “extremely irritating” by snooker rival Shaun Murphy.
Murphy had slammed the Rocket for not using his platform to improve the status of the game.

O’Sullivan has more than half a million Twitter followers and is the Box Office name on the baize.
Murphy blasted O’Sullivan as he insisted how much the game means to him – and how it irritates him when other competitors suggest it is not important to them.
The Magician said: “It’s extremely irritating. Ronnie in particular has one of the biggest platforms in the world.
“I just wish he would use it to help make the game better.”

However now the 46-year-old has responded to Murphy and insisted that he “loves what he is doing”.
The current world number one told Radio 5 Live: “I am not interested in what anyone has got to say about me.
“If people want to come and choose to watch me play then great, and if they choose not to watch me, that’s also great. It’s better they come and watch you than not.
“I am just doing my own business, and I don’t care what they say about the game. I just don’t care and I cut off for a long time.
“I love what I am doing, I enjoy where I am and that’s it. It’s better to be like that. I don’t know what to say, I’m sorry, I’m lost for words.”
O’Sullivan has continued his good form as he beat China’s Zhou Yuelong 6-0 as he made it to his 19th quarter-final in 21 appearances at the UK Championship in York.
