Horse trainer banned for 12 YEARS appears to set up new tipping service on TikTok and declares ‘I want payback’
A HORSE trainer given a record 12-year ban from the sport has apparently set up his own tipping service and declared: “I want payback.”
Three videos have appeared on TikTok under the name ‘The McNally Line’.
A video on TikTok appeared to promote a new tipping service run by banned trainer McNally
In one of the videos McNally, who was banned for a number of ‘very serious’ breaches, says: “My licence might be gone but I still have a lot of contacts in the game.
“Jumps racing is starting now in a couple of weeks and that’s my forte so I’m hoping now to be able to share a bit of information with the public.
“Together we’ll bash the bookies.”
The clips have already garnered almost 60,000 views in just two days.
McNally was banned following a length investigation into the improvement in form of some of his horses who landed huge gambles.
That included The Jam Man, who was backed off the boards when turning the 2020 Troytown Chase into a procession.
And Dreal Deal, whose victory when backed from 20-1 into 6-4 at Navan in the same year sparking an examination of betting patterns.
After that win McNally said: “The whole betting game is now a bit of a farce.”
He said it would take just £100 to move a horse from 20-1 into 12-1, for example.
McNally was found guilty of, among other rule breaches, passing on inside information and fined £45,000.
One of the headline charges levelled at McNally – also a kitchen-fitter – alleged the trainer ‘organised the manipulation of official handicap ratings’ for two horses, including All Class.
That horse won a ‘farcical’ Punchestown race in 2021 after being backed from around 20-1 to 6-4 and winning by 23 lengths.
McNally recently lost an appeal against his 12-year ban.
But he did have a minor win in that the final four years of his disqualification will be suspended.
