MAGIC RASCAL (2.00 Yarmouth, nap)
Can do the trick on handicap debut. George Boughey has brought this three-year-old along slowly and starts him from a low mark of just 52. He is bred to be a lot better than that and the move up to a mile today should bring lots of improvement.
CHIEF LITTLE ROCK (2.45 Epsom, nb)
Isn’t in the Derby but he can win Epsom’s trial for the big race. He showed lots of promise last season and chased home potential star Ancient Wisdom in the Autumn Stakes at Newmarket last time. There is the scope for plenty of improvement.
EXCEED (5.25 Yarmouth, treble)
Looked better than this level when winning at Thirsk last season. He’s been off a while but can make a winning return.
