Horse racing tips: Red-hot Templegate’s NAP can win this going away under William Buick
RED-HOT Templegate tackles Tuesday’s action confident of finding some winners.
He had a 44-1 double and 22-1 winner last weekend – and you can back any of his picks below at the best price simply by clicking their odds.
DAMASCUS STEEL (6.15 Lingfield, nap)
Looks an improved model this season and had plenty in hand when scoring at Kempton two runs ago. He proved that was no fluke when a solid second at Doncaster last time. The booking of William Buick catches the eye and Ed Dunlop’s hope sees out this trip strongly.
LAOISMAN (7.15 Lingfield, nb)
Was chinned right on the line at Windsor last time to deny him four wins on the spin. He absolutely tanks along and has loads of pace so this drop back a furlong doesn’t look a worry. One of his winning hat-trick came here in September so the track isn’t a worry and a further 2lb rise in the weights gives him every chance.
MAGIC RASCAL (3.03 Leicester, treble)
He has been knocking on the door for trainer George Boughey. He went down by a neck at Bath in May before running a good race on turf at Lingfield last time. He was staying on over 1m1f there so the extra furlong should be right up his street.
ALFRED COVE (5.08 Leicester, Lucky 15)
He has been in excellent form on the sand with three close seconds in a row at Southwell, Wolverhampton and Chelmsford. Good 5lb claimer Jack Doughty takes over for this turf comeback over an ideal distance for canny Tony Carroll.
