SERGEANT WILKO (3.00 Goodwood, nap)

He bossed a good field at Newmarket last month and a 4lb rise for that smooth win looks lenient. Top jockey Oisin Murphy retains the ride and the pair could be very hard to peg back on a track that suits front runners.

QIRAT (3.35 Goodwood, nb)

He was a good winner over track and trip in May. He has not been suited by the mile trip on his last two starts and should continue his progression dropping back a furlong. He can make the most of a lovely draw in stall four.

AMERJEET (3.50 Beverley, treble)

Won a tidy race at Lingfield without his rider picking up his stick. The second and third have won since and a 5lb rise is unlikely to trouble him.

TONY MONTANA (4.00 Yarmouth, yankee)

Has plenty of weight but has run well in top-class handicaps at York and Goodwood. He should go close.

Beverley

2.05 Khabib  – Solid effort at Thirsk and well drawn to attack

2.40 Touch The Moon  – Shaped with promise in a hot contest at Sandown

3.15 Neoma  – Finished a clear second when green on debut

3.50 Amerjeet (TREBLE) – Quickened well to win snugly at Lingfield

4.25 Open Secret  – Takes a big drop in class and worth a chance

5.00 Winterfair  – Ran well for a long way at Sandown last time

Goodwood

1.50 Charlotte’s Web  – Big eyecatcher at Wolves and can make amends here

2.25 Toimy Son  – Hard to knock his Golden Mile win here last time

3.00 Sergeant Wilko (NAP) – Improving and well on top at Newmarket

3.35 Qirat (NB)  – Outstayed over a mile but drop back to 7f can do the trick

4.10 Sea Legend  – Thrown in at the weights and will be hard to beat

4.45 Skibo  – Closely related to Group 1 performer Kinross

5.20 Temporize  – Should be very hard to beat despite carrying 10-4

Yarmouth

2.15 City Escape  – Went close at Leicester and this is easier

2.50 Bellator Bullet  – Lots to promise on debut and scope to progress

3.25 Fortnum  – Outstayed over 10f last time and drop in trip will suit

4.00 Tony Montana (YANKEE)  – Repeat of his Goodwood effort will see him go close

4.35 Sovereign Knight  – Won well last time and top jock rides for the first time

5.10 Gultari  – Showed plenty of bottle to win at Yarmouth
