Messi, 33, has made 749 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 644 goals.

After setting the new record Messi revealed that he never expected in his life to surpass the history set by a player like Pele.
Since Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Valencia in La Liga last weekend, Messi equalled Pele’s 643 goals after helping his side to a two-match winning streak.
