Yoshida, 35, was drafted in at the last minute after Bridges’ prospective opponent, Avril Mathie, pulled out of the fight.
The defeat saw Bridges lose her IBF Bantamweight world title belt at the Chase Centre in San Francisco.
Bridges and Yoshida were on the undercard of the bout between Devin Haney and Regis Prograis.
Despite Yoshida’s veteran status and her jumping in at the last minute, she was dominant in the fight and battered Bridges throughout.
The judges scored her a unanimous victory with two scores of 99-91 and one of 97-93.
Bridges struggled to ever get going during the bout and was consistently on the end of Yoshida’s powerful right hand.
Statistics afterwards showed that Yoshida landed 122 punches to the Blonde Bombers’ 66.
There was some controversy during the bout but it did little to effect the outcome of the tie.

Yoshida landed a controversial late shot following the bell in the fifth round but it was simply symbolic of her dominance on the night.
The defeat brings Bridges‘ 21 month reign as IBF Bantamweight champion to an end.
Taking to X after the fight, Bridges said: “Absolutely gutted, it wasn’t my night. Big congrats to my opponent.
“She was the better fighter tonight. Beautiful & humble, single mother. Seeing how much that win meant to her & her daughter did give me some warmth inside.
“A loss doesn’t define me. I have no quit, it’s all learning and I’ll be back better & stronger. Thank you to everyone who supports me. I love you all.”
Bridges successfully defended her title with a stoppage win over Shannon O’Connell in December and has built an impressive following online.
Her boxing skills, risque sense of humour and outrageous pre-match outfits have seen her gain nearly a million followers on Instagram.
