GORDON ELLIOTT is set to wave goodbye to five Gigginstown horses as part of Michael O’Leary’s annual dispersal sale.
The Ryanair boss is putting eight horses on offer in all, including two owned by Noel Meade and one by Joseph O’Brien.

The ten-year-old was last seen finishing fourth in a Listed handicap hurdle at Galway last week, giving 5lbs to winner and fellow Elliott inmate The Wallpark.
Frontal Assault, who’s been kept busy this year and was challenging in a Listed chase at Ballinrobe in April, is another veteran up for sale.
Five-year-old hurdles winner Ankud, four-year-old Galway maiden hurdle winner Kaleosun and six-year-old maiden hurdler Pallas Athene are also up for sale.
Meade looks set to lose Flanking Maneuver, who was a brave third in the Galway Handicap Chase last week, and Idas Boy, a four-time winner under rules who sprung a 40-1 shock at Kilbeggan just last month.
While O’Brien’s three-year-old filly Ascendent, who’s run twice, will also form part of the sale.
A release from Tattersalls said the ‘quality draft that is sure to attract a lot of attention amongst prospective buyers’.
The annual dispersal is set to be a highlight feature of the Tattersalls Online August Sale held over two days from next Wednesday.
Gigginstown were thought to be winding down their racing operation, but continue to have a number of top performers.
Grade 1-winning mare Brighterdaysahead made amends for her runner-up in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle by winning the Turners Mersey Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree with ease last April.
While Stellar Story won the Albert Bartlett at monster odds of 33-1.
