Golfer airlifted to hospital and at risk of losing his eyesight after being hit by ball in horrifying accident
GOLF star Jeffrey Guan suffered a horrible accident during a pro-am event that left him at risk of losing his eyesight.
The shocking incident took place on Friday at Club Catalina in Batemans Bay, New South Wales when Guan, 20, was struck in the eye by a golf ball.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Australian was transported to a local hospital before later being airlifted to see an eye specialist in Canberra.
An NSW ambulance spokesperson told the Sydney Morning Herald: “Just before 2pm we responded to reports a man in his 20s had been hit in the head with a golf ball.
“We treated the man for a head injury and he was taken to Moruya District Hospital.”
Guan’s coach Paul Davis revealed the golf star suffered multiple orbital fractures after an errant tee shot by an amateur pro-am participant.
Davis also confirmed there are fears his player may lose “some vision” but insists nothing is yet certain.
Guan’s trainer told Australian Golf Digest: “Obviously there are fears he may lose some vision, but we won’t know the full extent until he goes to Sydney for further assessment.
“It’s truly awful. This was actually the first pro-am Jeff has ever played in.
“It’s just the worst possible news after such an amazing week in California.”
Guan had just returned to Australia after making his PGA Tour debut at the Procore Championship in Napa, California.
The young golfer turned pro last fall and already has seven top-25s, including last year’s Australian PGA and Australian Open, under his belt.
Guan is currently ranked No989 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
