Ghanaian defenders Abdul Mumin and Gideon Mensah were in fantastic form as Vitoria Guimaraes held Portuguese record champions Benfica to a goalless draw on Friday night.The defensive pair were solid, holding off the threat of the offensive players of Benfica.Both players lasted the entire duration, covering the grounds and working tirelessly to keep a clean sheet at the Estadio Da Luz.Abdul Mumin, who joined the club in the summer from FC Nordsjaelland was faultless last night, stopping Swiss forward Hans Seferovic on many one on one duels.Adel Taarabt could not find a way pass Mensah who was equal to the task last night.Compatriot Alhassan Wakaso replaced Portuguese midfielder Almeida in the 82nd minute as Vitoria SC held on to finish he game goalless.Mumin and Mensah have been integral members of the team this season.
