Ghana forward Kwesi Appiah reveals how his former teammate convinced him to join Colchester
Ghana forward Kwesi Appiah has disclosed that his former teammate at Crawley Town Tom Dallison played a role in his move to Colchester United.Appiah reunited with Dallison after completing a season-long loan from Crawley Town in the summer transfer window.Appiah said: “I’m going to call him Agent Dallo!”He’s been grafting, to be fair to him.”He was on the blower quite a lot trying to convince me to come down.”He knows as a friend of mine what my options were and was pushing for me to come here and I guess he’s got it done in the end!”I did speak to him a bit and I know John (Akinde) as well – he was my strike partner in the youth team (at Ebbsfleet) back in the day.”Me and John go way back and I spoke to him about it, too.”They both convinced me that this is where I should be so happy to have got it across the line.”Appiah made his Colchester debut in the game against Hartlepool and will be hoping for more game time this season.
