GHALCA pays tribute to two deceased former football administrators Justice Boison and Nana Yaw Owusu

Late Justice BoisonThe Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has paid a glowing tribute to former football chiefs who have passed.Former vice chairman of GHALCA Nana Yaw Owusu and former Black Stars defender Justice Boison passed have passed away.Boison, who contested an election for Treasurer position at GHALCA died this week.And the club’s welfare body have paid a glowing tribute to the two deceased personalities in two separate statements signed by GHALCA chairman Kudjoe Fianoo.BRIEF TRIBUTE TO JUSTICE BOISONIts with deep sorrow and grief that the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has learnt of the unfortunate demise of one our illustrious football administrators Justice Boison.Mr. Boison had filed his nomination to contest the Treasurer position in the recent GHALCA Elections not quite a fortnight ago.He was seen exchanging pleasantries with Delegates and delivered a good campaign message to the forum during the programme. Little did we know that he would depart our fraternal fold so soon. He was a perfect gentleman and had a compelling aura around him.Mr. Boison was an effective central midfielder cut in the mould of the veteran Kuuku Dadzie and played for the giants of the West Sekondi Hasaacas.After his first degree in Accounting from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), he became the Chief Executive Officer of Vipers and a member of the Division One League Board of the Ghana Football Association.Ghana football has lost a great gem but there is ample proof to say that Mr. Boison has left imprint in Ghanas football history.May his gentle soul rest in Peace.TRIBUTE TO NANA YAW OWUSUThe death of Nana Yaw Owusu, former vice chairman of GHALCA, then known as the Organisation of Ghana League Clubs Association, has come to us from the bolt and we are saddened by it.An advisor par excellence, Nana Yaw Owusu was the first to be elected Vice-Chairman of GHALCA (then OGLCA) who served Ghana Football Association (GFA) during the reign of Mr. Awuah Nyamekye, when the vice chairman of GHALCA also doubled as vice chairman of the GFA.He served our association without blemish and played the dual role that came with his vice chairmanship position effectively. He offered the association advice on several issues to put an even keel at all times.GHALCA would sorely miss him due to the great void his sudden demise has created.We of GHALCA and indeed, the entire football fraternity, wish his wife, children and family our deepest condolences and hope to pay our last respect at his funeral.
