After being asked about his experience there, Newcastle legend Shearer was quick to make fun of his former rivals.
The ex-striker said: “It’s a f***ing s***hole. And you can keep that in because it is, or was!”
All three former players burst into laughter before Lineker chimed in: “For those of you that don’t know that’s the old ground of Sunderland football club.
“I played there actually. They used to call it the Roker roar. There was a real atmosphere at that ground and it wasn’t at all s***.
“That’s a disgusting thing to say!”
Shearer made 405 appearances for Newcastle after signing from Blackburn in 1996.
He scored 206 goals for the Magpies during his 10-year spell at St James’ Park.
The former striker is also the Premier League‘s all-time top goalscorer.

Shearer heaped praise on Newcastle forward Alexander Isak following the club’s 4-0 win over Tottenham at the weekend.
He said: “If you get him on the pitch and you have him fit, he’s as good as there is in the Premier League. No doubt about that.
“His feet are so quick, he’s a really good finisher, as quick as there is and he’s a clever, clever footballer.”
