Fulham 0 Man Utd 1: Bruno Fernandes scores late winner to hand Red Devils much-needed win after dismal recent form

BRUNO FERNANDES fired in a much-needed injury-time winner for Manchester United.

The Portuguese playmaker delivered a moment of magic in the 91st minute as Erik ten Hag breathed a huge sigh of relief.

After 3-0 defeats at home to Manchester City and Newcastle, the Red Devils headed to West London in search of much-needed three points.

But they were dealt a blow when Marcus Rashford was ruled out after failing a late fitness test for a dead leg.

Scott McTominay thought he had poked United in front early on but the goal was chalked off after a VAR review – because Harry Maguire was offside in the build-up.

Maguire, who took a nasty blow to his head and needed medical attention in the first minute, did not touch the ball but was involved as he actively tried to play the ball.

Andre Onana made a string of saves after the break as Fulham looked to find a breakthrough.

Anthony Martial tried his luck with an ambitious overhead kick that whistled just past the post.

But then as the clock ticked into injury time, Fulham had multiple chances to clear their lines.

However, the ball fell to captain Fernandes on the edge of the area and Bernd Leno could not keep out his low finish.
