Mr. Fred Pappoe, the former Vice President of Ghana Football Association has appealed to the Executives of the Ghana Football Association not to yield to the pressure of some Ghanaians.
He made this comment in reference to the call by some football fans to replace Coach Otto Addo ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Otto Addo
The Football Guru made his intentions known on Akoma FM on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Pappoe said that “like we did going into the 2006 world cup, the friendly matches are being played not necessarily for results but to look out for individual performance and how systems will look for the coaches”.
“We should not confuse ourselves by calling for the sack of the coach due to the performance of the team from a friendly match” he added.
Mr. Fred Pappoe further explained thus ; “we should not be quick to pass judgement on whether Otto Addo is good or bad, to me he good. We cannot change him at this time, For me that will be a suicidal”.
Otto Addo who has been in charge of Ghana’s Black Stars has seen only one win since he took over the job. Ghana beat Nicaragua in their last friendly after losing 3-0 to Brazil.
