Former Super Eagles Defender, Sofoluwe Was Paralysed Before Death – Wife
The wife of former Super Eagles defender, Yisa Sofoluwe, Busola, on Wednesday during an interview with Punch, disclosed that her husband was paralysed before his death.
She debunked the reports making rounds that her husband died after contracting COVID-19.
Busola revealed this while speaking with the news platform during the burial of her husband at Atan Cemetery, Lagos on Wednesday.
Recall that Sofoluwe died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital on Tuesday after being diagnosed with mild cerebral atrophy, a brain disease, aged 53.
“News that my husband died of COVID-19 isn’t true. Even when the doctor released him to us today (Wednesday), the man said it was not COVID-19 that killed him. He said he did not write anything like that, he said he did not know who told people that my husband died of COVID-19, that it wasn’t him.”
“So if they write that kind of thing, I will sue them, they should not lie, it is better for them to say the truth, they should please say the truth.”
“COVID-19 cannot paralyse a person. Immediately that thing happened, his two legs were paralysed; is that COVID-19? I don’t know where they got their COVID-19 story from.”
She further stated that her husband left behind two sons.
