Floyd Mayweather says Jake Paul’s career will be ‘OVER’ when he faces a ‘real fighter’ and mocks age of his opponents

FLOYD MAYWEATHER said Jake Paul’s boxing career will be “OVER” once he faces a “real fighter” and took a swipe at the age of his opponents.

Paul called Mayweather out to a catchweight bout from 165lb-175lb, before his win over 47-year-old UFC legend Anderson Silva.

And Mayweather appeared unimpressed with Paul’s wins over ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 38, and former UFC pair Ben Askren, 38, and Tyron Woodley, 40.

The YouTuber-turned prizefighter, 25, is yet to face a seasoned boxer, despite Silva’s 4-1 record in the ring.

And Mayweather, 45, warned Paul’s time will be up when he does while taking the chance to aim a brutal dig.

He said: “Once he get in there with a real fighter that can really fight, it’s gonna be over.

“So he’s gotta be able to enjoy it while he can.

“Is he doing good? Absolutely, for who he’s fighting – guys that are 50, 40.

“Does he wanna fight me, of course, I’m almost 50 years old so of course he wants to fight me.”

Paul is lined up with a rescheduled fight with Tommy Fury, 23, who has twice pulled out of their celebrity grudge match.

Fury withdrew in December with a rib injury and then again in August amid a US visa issue which still persists today.

He returns on Sunday night in Dubai, where Mayweather tops the bill in an exhibition against YouTuber Deji, 25.

Paul is set to be ringside on a scouting mission and was urged to focus his attention on Fury, not Mayweather.

Pointing to Fury at the pre-fight press conference, Mayweather said: “Jake Paul’s got problems right here.

“I mean he’s doing good for what he’s doing. Like I said, for what he’s doing.

“It is what it is, it’s just a lot of talk. It’s different when you’re at the highest level.”
