The 27-year-old was caught in the face by the ball while attempting to defend Agustina Gorzelany.

The match was then briefly paused with two minutes to play in the first quarter while she was treated by medics.

Burg was eventually able to walk off with the help of two physios.

But there was a further delay, albeit a short one, while blood was removed from the pitch.

Incredibly, she was able to continue later in the match with her nose taped up.

Burg was unable to wear the same jersey due to the blood, meaning she had to use one that didn’t have a number.

Staff members therefore had to craft a makeshift one out of tape so she could be identified by the referee on the pitch.

The score was still 0-0 when Burg suffered her injury.

THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
