The Ligue 1 outfit have struggled this season and are currently 17th in the table.
Results on the pitch have been dreadful with nine losses in 17 matches as well as a 4-0 hammering by rivals Stade Brestois.
The abysmal defeat saw 20-year-old midfielder Kamory Doumbia net all four in the first half.
And fans were left seething after the result as they took action at the club’s training ground.
The group Merlus Ultras 1995 dumped 400kg of rotten fish outside the facility at Kerlir.
The group also released a statement in which they slammed the team as “disgraceful” and warned that “action” could be taken.
They wrote: “Following the latest disgraceful (we’re being nice) defeat of our team, action will be taken at Kerlir after the game.
“400 kilograms of fish will be poured at the gate with a message that reads ‘Truly rotten, like you‘.

“May the people who are not bothered, and who do not respect the FC Lorient institution, ‘Get as far away from our club as possible.’”
Lorient signed former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy on a free transfer.
He was one of four players reportedly slammed by manager Régis Le Bris for a lack of “humility”.
French outlet L’Equipe claims that the other three players are Victor Makengo, Isaak Touré and Romain Faivre.
Ligue 1 is now in its winter break and Lorient will have to wait until January 6 for their next match.
The club takes on Sochauz in the French Cup round of 64.
Lyon’s flops were also targeted by fuming ultras in September after their poor start to the season.
