Fans say Marc Guiu has ‘played his first and LAST match at Stamford Bridge’ after shocking open goal miss vs Servette
MARC GUIU might have played his “first and last” game for Chelsea after missing a shocking open goal.
The Spanish striker started up front for the Blues Swiss side Servette FC in the Europa Conference League.
Chelsea were 1-0 up thanks to Christopher Nkunku’s spot kick five minutes after the break.
And Guiu had the chance to double their lead just moments after – but it all went horribly wrong.
He did the hard work by closing down the keeper which set up a tap in with no one in goal.
But as the stopper rushed back to goal he was able to prevent Guiu’s lifeless effort from crossing the line.
The forward then fluffed his lines at the second attempt and failed to spare his blushes.
One fan joked: “First and last start at stamford bridge for Marc Guiu.”
Another said: “Good to see Chelsea have solved their finishing issues with Guiu… “
One fumed: “F***ing hell we need a striker…”
