Fans love ‘wholesome’ moment England supporters dance with German woman in street as Euro 2024 party hits Frankfurt

FANS believe they’ve spotted the true “wholesome” meaning of football.

And there wasn’t a ball or player in sight.

England fans, some holding beers, danced with a German woman in the streets of thronging Frankfurt.

Just 24 hours later, the Three Lions will meet Denmark at Euro 2024 in the same city on Thursday evening.

It won’t quite be a question of swapping the tango for tackles – as the dancing supporters preferred knee-bending moves with their “host” to ballroom techniques.

But there will certainly be extra intensity when Gareth Southgate’s men bid to qualify for the KO stages with a second win in two group games.

Viewers, however, simply expressed their joy at seeing what they reckon is the purest charm of the sport.

One posted: “It’s just so nice and refreshing to have a major tournament at a place with an existing, massive football culture.”

Another wrote: “Love seeing fans of different teams just having fun all over Germany. Won’t complain if soccer is just full of these clips.”

A third fan said: “This Euros has such a good vibe to it.”

And one even claimed the German woman, who was wearing a cap in her country’s colours, had also danced with West Ham fans in April.

England will hope that’s not an omen – as the Hammers crashed out of the Europa League against Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 on aggregate.

Viewers, though, just focused on the hip-shaking fun in Frankfurt.

“Just had the biggest grin watching this,” said one.

“It’s kinda refreshing” and “vibes are impeccable” were amongst the other upbeat verdicts popping on to social media.
