Lampard, 44, is on the brink after the Toffees were thrashed 4-1 by Brighton on Tuesday evening.
The final whistle was greeted by boos and jeers from home supporters, who also chanted “sack the board” after what they perceive to be years of mismanagement.
The result left Everton in 16th position with 15 points from 18 matches, one point above the relegation zone.
It was Lampard’s 19th defeat in 36 league games in charge of Everton and extends a run of only one win in 10 top-flight outings.
Everton have had seven permanent bosses since David Moyes left in May 2013.
Those include Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez and Lampard.
And given Betfair have made Lampard a 1/3 odds-on favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job — an eighth appointment in 10 years is on the horizon.

The 37-year-old is currently in charge at MLS outfit DC United having spent 18 months with Derby, who were relegated having spent almost the entire season in administration.
Free agent Sean Dyche follows behind at 5/1, with West Ham’s David Moyes 6/1 and former Belgium boss Roberto Martinez 7/1.
Meanwhile, Marcelo Bielsa (12/1), Ange Postecoglou (14/1) and Duncan Ferguson (16/1) are outside contenders to succeed Frank Lampard.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Everton’s humiliating 4-1 home defeat to Brighton stretched their winless run to seven games as pressure mounts on manager Frank Lampard.
“Looking at who could replace him, Wayne Rooney is the 11/8 favourite to return to Goodison Park, with Sean Dyche 5/1, David Moyes 6/1 and Roberto Martinez 7/1.
“Elsewhere, Marcelo Bielsa is 12/1 to succeed Lampard, while Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is 14/1.”
