Euro 2020: UEFA Releases Update On Eriksen Condition After Collapse
Denmark’s midfielder, Christian Eriksen has been hospitalised following his collapse today at Copenhagen.
Naija News had reported that there was stillness today during the Euro 2020 opener between Denmark and Finland. Eriksen without any blow, shock or hard contact from opponents started to stagger, before collapsing to the ground.
The who appeared to be unconscious was quickly given CPR by medics. The development sent coldness on the player’s teammates, the staff, the public and everyone watching the Euro opener on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Reports emerging from the Union of European Football Associations confirmed that the 29-year-old Inter Milan player is in stable condition at the hospital.
The statement reads: “Following the medical emergency involving Denmark’s player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated at 19:45 CET,”
“The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised.”
