EPL: Guardiola Is Crazy About Football – Haaland
Three months after joining English Premier League, Manchester City forward, Erling Haaland has admitted that his coach, Pep Guardiola is committed to everything about football.
Naija News recalls that Man City spent over £62m during the previous transfer window to get the Norwegian professional footballer to the Etihad Stadium from Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland who has been at his best since he joined the premier league side said during an interview that Guardiola is crazy about football.
He commended the Spanish manager for his tactical approach so far this season, adding that the 51-year-old ma is a football freak just like him.
In his remark about Guardiola, Haaland said: “I think he is kind of a bit of a football freak like me”.
Haaland told Telemundo Deportes that he is gradually getting himself settled in Guardiola’s squad.
He said: “We both love football and yeah, he was a player now he’s a manager and yeah, he’s crazy about football and this is something I like because he thinks of everything in football, and how you can do things better, and this is what I like about [him].
“It’s been good so far [settling in]. You can see the goals and how we’ve been playing.
“It’s a complicated system and I have been going in the team and trying to get it [the tactics] as quick as I can because there is no time.
“I cannot waste time doing anything else. So I have been trying to get into the team as quickly as I can. It’s a nice system, a complicated system, but it’s nice,” he said.
Naija News understands that Haaland has so far scored two hat-tricks and a total of 12 goals in just eight games with the Premier League champions.
