ENGLAND captain Harry Kane was booked for DIVING against Malta.

But fans were left wondering why VAR didn’t intervene, with some calling it a “stonewall penalty.”

Kane saw yellow in the 30th minute after a collision with the opposition goalie at Wembley on Friday night.

Henry Bonello came rushing out as Kane attempted to dribble the ball past him.

And there appeared to be contact as Malta’s stopper swept into Kane’s feet.

The Bayern Munich star collapsed to the ground, waving his arms in protest as he awaited the ref’s whistle for a penalty.

But official Luis Godinho saw things differently.
