Crystal Palace have made breakthrough talks with another big name at the club – as Eze has a new long-term deal on the cards.
In recent months Michael Olise, Jordan Aynew and Sam Johnstone all put their names down to stay with the Eagles.
And now the 25-year-old is set to follow in their footsteps after rejecting several offers from other clubs during the summer.
One club in particular was Manchester City who had the London boy under their radar as it was thought Pep Guardiola was an admirer of Eze.
But Palace are now inches away from keeping the England international with a new contract that is set to be worth treble his current salary.
According to TEAMTalk a hefty release clause will be included in the new deal but the exact amount is yet to be decided.
Eze moved to Selhurst Park in 2020 and signed a five-year deal – he has since made 98 appearances and scored 16 goals.
With his contract due to run out in the summer of 2025, the Eagles have currently rated the midfielder around £50million.

The talented midfielder has lined up 15 assists and has a goal contribution every 3.1 times he plays.
The two-cap England star made his senior debut for England in June – coming on as a 70th-minute substitute for James Maddison in a 4–0 UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying win against Malta.
Eze then made his 2nd England appearance against Scotland in September.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace fans will be happy to hear the club is eyeing up new deals for defenders Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen.
