Emilia Romagna F1 track CLOSED as horror flood leaves paddock looking unrecognisable throwing GP into doubt
HEAVY FLOODING at Imola means the track has been closed today, just days before the Emilia Romagna F1 Grand Prix.
All staff have been told to stay away from the track until further notice.
The amount of rain to have fallen in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy has left part of the venue underwater.
And it means this Sunday’s Emilia Romagna GP could be in doubt.
Yesterday circuit bosses evacuated the paddock due to flood risks.
It’s reported there will be an update on the situation this afternoon.
