That was the joy felt by one Betfair punter, who watched their 369/1 shot go the distance on Wednesday night.

Was there a bit of skill or bit of luck involved with the selections? Who knows, but it tends to take a bit of both.

The mystery bettor placed a £20 both teams to score bet and selected ten games across the night’s football.

Among them was the Premier League meeting at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Leeds which got off to a flyer when the visitors bagged inside the first minute.

Marcus Rashford (obviously) scored to get United back in this one and made sure a giant tick went beside this selection.

Marseille beat PSG 2-1 in the Coupe de France, while Fulham knocked Sunderland out the FA Cup 3-2 in their replay.

There were four selections at 11/10, including the Club World Cup clash between Al Ahly and Real Madrid in Morocco.

The Egyptians converted a 65th minute penalty while 2-0 down, which was a major positive for this punt.

And other results followed suit in the PSV vs Emmen, Famalicao vs Belensenses and Dundee vs Raith games.

Dortmund beat Bochum 2-1 away from home in the cup too, with Spakenburg progressing by Katwijk in the Dutch cup by the same scoreline.

A BTTS 10-fold winning over £7k!

This Betfair punter had to keep their nerve as this 369/1 shot went the distance…

Speaking of Dutch, that left Feyenoord vs NEC Nijmegen as the outstanding selection on the night.

Another at 11/10, there was more chance of both teams not scoring than both notching.

But when the hosts took an unlikely lead and then doubled that before the break, this looked sure to be another easy tick off the list.

But Feyenoord left the punter sweating, despite having 34 SHOTS at goal during normal time.

But with Philippe Sandler being sent off for the visitors on 89 minutes, Feyenoord midfielder Orkum Kokcu was the punter’s hero when he dispatched from the penalty spot – bagging £7,395.03 from a £20 stake.

Not that they’ll care, but Feyenoord scored again on 92 minutes, finished extra time with a remarkable 4-4 scoreline and went through 5-4 on penalties.

Dramatic night…
