Cheltenham punter lands staggering £200,000 on day three of festival with THREE audacious accumulators
A CHELTENHAM punter landed a staggering £200,000 sum on day three with THREE audacious accumulators.
Winners Stage Star, Envoi Allen, Seddon and Sire Du Berlais were all rolled into a £1 each-way four-fold accumulator.

The returns mounted to £84,857.03 but the William Hill customer backed the same horses with £5 each-way trebles and £10 each-way doubles.
It added an extra £135,068.61 to his winnings, leaving the bookmakers stunned.
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “We’ve had a few massive accumulators hit us hard this week and this is the biggest of them yet.
“Picking 33/1-shot Sire Du Berlais to win the Stayers’ is hard enough, let alone adding in three other big-priced selections to land odds of over 90,000/1.”
Despite the winning wager, it pales in comparison to Brighton owner Tony Bloom, who won a whopping £1.2MILLION.
The sports bettor and poker player put £400,000 on Energumene defending his Champion Chase crown.
That bet returned £580,000 profit, which, added to his original stake and the £220,000 he got for owning the winning horse, all added up to £1,205,080.
Arguably even better for Bloom was that Energumene, who runs in Brighton’s colours, beat Editeur Du Gite, a horse owned by Crystal Palace fans.

Brighton beat Palace in the Premier League later that day – Bloom made it to the game after rushing back – so the billionaire betting genius completed the double.
Quizzed about his monster bet after the race, Bloom said: “I had a few quid on. I think we’re quids in.”
Pressed on just how much he placed, Bloom smiled: “Well… a few quid!”
He continued: “Energumene looked the top horse all the way round.
“The rain helped the last few days and certainly the last couple hours. I’m going to the game tonight.”
