The goal was scored in the ending periods of the first half
through a long pass from Goalkeeper Edouad Mendy.
Both sides had very good opportunities to score in the first
20 minutes of the game but the players failed to score.
Thomas Tuchel was forced to make changes in the first half when his trusted centre back, Thiago Silva got a groin injury and had to be replaced by Andrea Christiansen.

Tuchel and his Chelsea side failed to win the English FA Cup
after losing by a lone goal to Leicester City.
The 47 year old German took over in January from Frank
Lampard and has since played 30 matches, won 19, drawn 6 and lost 5. This gives
him 63.3 percent win with his London based side.
This was the second consecutive final for Thomas Tucel who
also guided Paris St Germain to the final in the 2019/2020 season. The French
side lost to Bayern Munich by a lone goal.
Chelsea first won the trophy in 2011/2012 season after
bearing Bayern Munich on penalty shoot-out.
