Turkey is one of the countries that Britain has banned its citizens from visiting. This is the second year that the Champions League final will be played in Portugal.
“We will not stop fans from watching foot-to-mouth and I am happy that the decision was made,” said UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin.
UEFA, UK government officials, and the Football Association had earlier discussed the possibility of playing at Wembley Stadium, but no agreement has been reached on the issue of the quarantine of key figures, sponsors, and journalists.
