The midfielder was on Chelsea‘s transfer wishlist in January.

And he has now revealed his ambition to play for one of the world’s biggest teams after only joining Everton last summer.

He told SoFoot: “I see myself having had a lot of life experiences, which will have made me learn a lot about human beings in general, as well as about myself.

“I see myself, God willing, in one of the biggest clubs recognised worldwide.”

Chelsea had planned a raid on Everton in January with Onana and Anthony Gordon targeted amid the club’s financial fair play difficulties.

But Gordon signed for Newcastle and Onana reportedly snubbed the Blues’ advances.

The Toffees also demanded £50million to let the Belgium leave having bought him from Lille for £33.5m in 2022.

His rejection of Chelsea sparked interest from Arsenal and the London pair could battle it out to sign the midfielder in the summer.

Both teams are believed to be keen on upgrading their midfield with Declan Rice also a target.
