Chelsea ‘to offer MORE than £47m release clause for Brazilian wonderkid transfer’ as fans say ‘we ain’t normal’
CHELSEA are reportedly willing to pay more than Estevao Willian’s release clause in order to sign the wonderkid.
The Brazilian has a release clause worth £47million at native club Palmeiras.
Estevao Willian is a target for Chelsea
Willian, 17, has wowed during his short career and has already been labelled Messinho due to his similarities to Lionel Messi.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with a swoop for the attacker and are believed to be willing to pay over the odds.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Blues have offered Palmeiras more than the players’ release clause.
He claims this is so the Blues can try and get better terms for payments.
It is claimed that more than 40 per cent of the fee will be made up of add-ons.
It is similar to what the club did when signing striker Nicolas Jackson last summer from Villarreal.
But fans are not impressed as they have flocked to social media to share their thoughts.
One fan bemoaned: “We ain’t a normal institution, this is poor.”

A second posted: “Waste of money and not what we need.”
A third wrote: “Can we pls buy some already-established players.”
A fourth commented: “When you deep it, do we actually need this kid?”
A fifth said: “FFS! I thought they were going for more experience now.”
Another added: “Dude better be a baller if we’re paying so much for him.”
Should Chelsea complete the transfer, then there is a chance they will not pay the full fee.
This would be if Willian did not reach the targets set in the deal and not trigger the add-ons.
If he does then of course Chelsea will pay for it, but would benefit from a potential world-class star.

IT IS HIGHLY unlikely that Mauricio Pochettino is familiar with the work of Rumi.
Whether the renowned Islamic poet and mystic had the tactical dilemmas facing Chelsea’s head coach in mind while dreaming up his scholarly works in 13th century Afghanistan, we will never know.
It’s fair to say Rumi was not a regular in The Shed at Stamford Bridge.
Yet one of his most famous quotations strikes right at the heart of Pochettino’s problems trying to transform his team into consistent challengers at the top end of the Premier League.
It was Rumi who wrote so prophetically: “Two birds tied together. They will not be able to fly even though they have four wings.”
He could have scribbled that on the back of his programme from so many of Chelsea’s games this season with regard to Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
There is a feeling among regular Chelsea watchers that while it is a blow on a personal level for Fernandez to be ruled out for the rest of the season with his injury problem, it may yet turn to Pochettino’s advantage.
For it allows Caicedo to roam that patch in front of his defence with greater freedom. Both players are exceptional individual talents.
