He joined Porto but began tired of the travelling to and from the training ground, eventually leaving his town of Viseu to move nearer for football reasons.
He captained youth sides at the club that contained the likes of Man Utd star Diogo Dalot and Portugal’s No.1 goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
However, the Chelsea attacker left Porto after falling out of favour, then signing for rivals Benfica and his senior career took off.
After breaking into the first-team, his impressive performances saw him earn a big money move to Atletico Madrid.
The Portuguese star won LaLiga with them in the 2020/21 season and has found the back of the net 34 times in 131 games for them.

It is of course, Joao Felix, who signed for Chelsea on loan from the Spanish giants until the end of the season.
The versatile star has featured just once since his Premier League arrival after he was sent off on his debut away at Fulham.
However, he has served his suspension and will be ready to make a name for himself in England after an indifferent and expensive start.
