Chelsea ‘leading shock transfer race to sign Kobbie Mainoo from Man Utd’, according to bombshell reports
CHELSEA are reportedly leading the race to sign Kobbie Mainoo after talks over a new Manchester United deal reached a stalemate.
The Mail sensationally claims that United’s young midfielder could be on his way to Stamford Bridge despite his starring role in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Liverpool.
The Red Devils are eager to tie Mainoo down to a new deal, despite his current run not expiring until summer 2027.
But talks over an extension have apparently hit a dead end.
It reportedly means Mainoo is facing an uncertain long-term future at Old Trafford.
And Chelsea are now said to be plotting a move to bring Mainoo to London.
