Chelsea fans convinced ‘relegation battle has started’ after realising brutal run of fixtures

CHELSEA fans are worried they are “starting a relegation battle” after looking at their desperately tough fixtures coming up.

The Blues’ four-game unbeaten came to an end on Saturday as they were beaten by West London rivals Brentford 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

The result leaves them languishing in 11th place in the Premier League table with just three wins from their opening 10 games.

And it could get even worse for Mauricio Pochettino‘s men as they face a horror few weeks of matches.

After taking on Blackburn in the Carabao Cup, they travel to table toppers Tottenham on Monday.

Six days later, they then host champions Manchester City, before a trip to St James’ Park to face Newcastle.

European new boys Brighton travel to Stamford Bridge on December 3.

And Chelsea follow that up with a trip to Manchester United 72 hours later.

This dreadful month of fixtures has left Blues supporters thoroughly concerned when it comes to how far they could slip down the table.

They sit just seven points above the relegation zone, with fans fearing they could be dragged down towards the bottom over the next few weeks.

Speaking on social media, one person said: “We might not win any in these matches.”

Another added: “The battle of relegation has started.”

While a third replied: “Brighton and United are the only ones I feel we stand a small chance, the rest forget it.”
