Chelsea ‘confident over Victor Osimhen transfer’ but fans spot major flaw in deal as they moan ‘we don’t have time’
CHELSEA are allegedly “confident” of signing Victor Osimhen – but fans were left moaning “we don’t have time” as they spotted a major flaw in the deal.
The 24-year-old striker achieved legendary status last season by playing a key role in Napoli ending their 33-year wait for the Serie A title.
Chelsea supporters do not want to play the waiting game with Victor OsimhenRex
Osimhen scored 26 goals in 32 league appearances and he has continued that red-hot form this term with another six in ten games despite several controversies.
The hotshot was linked with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs over the summer as both Manchester United and Chelsea chased his signature.
Then the Premier League duo and rivals Arsenal were put on red alert after a controversial TikTok post left the player contemplating SUING his employers back in September.
We then recently revealed how he remained one of Chelsea’s top targets for 2024 as they look to improve their forward line options.
Now The Standard has reported that Osimhen is open to a move to the Blues – although they may have to wait until next summer to sign him.
They state that Napoli value the ace at over £100m and their president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, “is unlikely to sell him in January”.
After a struggling start to their title defence, with the fourth-placed team ten points behind current leaders Inter Milan, manager Rudi Garcia is allegedly “expected to be sacked”.
And this fresh update says that “De Laurentiis wants Osimhen to spearhead a revival under a new coach”.

Chelsea are still deciding whether to launch a move for a new striker in January and will finalise their plans in December, while they keep all “options open”.
But despite Nicolas Jackson finally appearing to find his form after a difficult start, supporters are convinced that the Blues cannot afford to wait around for Osimhen if they are to challenge for top honours and seal a return to the Champions League this term.
Reacting to this latest update on social media, one wrote: “Next summer?? SMH we don’t have time.”
A fellow fan commented: “Bring him immediately. Don’t waste time or delay.”
Another said: “We need him NOW not next year.”
While a fellow supporter said: “If they don’t sell him in the winter there is no chance we go after him in the summer.”
