Chaos ahead of World Cup final as central metro station is CLOSED after being overwhelmed by fans

FANS faced chaos ahead of the World Cup final in Doha after the metro station was closed which caused mayhem amongst supporters.

France are playing Argentina in the final game of the tournament, but supporters were stuck and chaos broke out.

This isn’t the first time this type of thing has happened at the tournament.

Ahead of Morocco’s game against Portugal in the last-16, thousands of supporters were BLOCKED from entering the stadium.

And complete disorder broken out once again just hours before the showpiece.

Meanwhile, other panicked fans were trying to push their way through the turnstiles to ensure they made the 3pm kick off time.

One clip on social media shows people attempting to force their way through.

And overwhelmed security appeared to be struggling to deal with the sheer number of fans who were desperate to make it into the Lusail Stadium.

The Athletic journalist Adam Crafton posted a video and said: “Huge queues and crowding at the Msheireb interchange.
