CANADA RETURNS TO THE WORLD CUP AS USA STRUGGLES
The Reds of Canada have qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup ahead of big giants within the CONCAF Zone. They qualify after 36 years of missing out.
Over the years, The Confederation of North, Central and Caribbean Associations of Football (CONCAF) is been mostly represented at the FIFA World Cup by United States of America and Mexico.
Canada have qualified ahead of the known giants for this year’s FIFA World Cup. The FIFA Mundial will take place in Qatar in December, 2022.

The Reds of Canada secured 28 points with one match to spare. They become the first country to qualify from the continent.
They beat Jamaica 4-0 at the BMO Field in Toronto to book their historic qualification. The last time Canada appeared at the World Cup was in 1986 in Mexico.
Cyle Christopher Larin scored the first goal at the 13th minute with Tajon Bucanan scored the second at the 44th minute before the recess. They managed to score two more goals in the second half through Junior Hoilett and an Adrian Mariappa own goal.
Canada’s qualification comes against the predictions of the football analysts who tipped USA or Mexico to top the group. USA and Mexico both lie behind Canada with 25 points. Costa Rica lie at fourth position with 22 points.
This indicates that any drop in the last round of matches can see either, USA or Mexico facing playing off.
Canada will face Panama in the last game as USA battle with Costa Rica. Mexico will also play El Salvador at home.
